Happy Birthday to Mrs. Katie Markun.

 

Are you interested in learning chess?  Chess is a skill that can help you both academically and in the real world.  Chess Club meets today, September 21 in room 216 after school.  Also, anyone who can defeat the Chess Captain Aidan Beckett, under standard tournament conditions, will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card.  You don’t have to join the club to participate, however, you must show up to a meeting after school.  See Aidan for more details.

 

Do you want to learn how to make strategic and diplomatic decisions or how about managing a conflict or crisis?  If you want to lean these skills or just improve them, you should stop by Model UN in the library this Wednesday, September 22 at 3:15 pm to choose your country!  See Mrs. McMillan for questions.

 

A representative from the Army Reserves will be here for an informational visit during lunch, Thursday, September 23.  The information table will either be in the cafeteria or in the commons by the gym.  Students interested in learning more about the Army Reserves should speak with the representative them. 

 

Did you know you can make music using math?  Draw art using math?  Learn magic tricks using math?  Lean more at the Math Club starting next Monday, September 27 after school.  Sign up and hear more details from Mr. Sumitro in room 216.  Be there or be square!

 

There will be a meeting for all students interested in participating on the wrestling team on Thursday, September 30 at 6:30.  Parents are invited and no prior experience is required.  Wrestling will help your overall fitness and if you are participating in another sport, will help you be a better athlete and competitor.

 

Wednesday, October 6, a representative from Jostens will be here to distribute graduation announcement order forms to the Class of 2022 and class ring order forms to the Class of 2024.  Order forms will be turned in during the lunch periods on Wednesday, October 13.
