THE HIGH SCHOOL OF SAINT THOMAS MORE: ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Our 2025-2026 admissions application goes live on Sunday, September 15, 2024 online and it is FREE to apply! Please note that if you submit your completed application, including all forms, before December 1, 2024, you will be eligible for a 5% discount on your child's tuition. If you submit a completed application by February 1, 2025, you will be eligible to receive a 2% discount.
Please also note that currently enrolled students do NOT need to reapply for enrollment next year and are ineligible for new student tuition discounts.

Step 1: Complete the Application Process
Our admissions application is a three-step process, which can be completed all at once or saved and completed in steps. Begin your application here.
If the applicant should be extended an offer of admission, an acceptance letter and welcome information will be sent by mail to the applicant's home address.
*Steps 2 and 3 of the enrollment process are only relevant if you receive and accept an offer of admission.*
Step 2: Course Registration
In the Spring the incoming student will be notified by the Counselor with instructions for selecting his or her preference of courses for the upcoming year.
The Counselor will then review these choices and finalize the incoming student's class schedule. Class schedules will also then be viewable to both student and parent(s) in PowerSchool.
Step 3: Incoming Student Records
Lastly, all new students are required to submit a physical and immunization record and a dental form to the Main Office.
Students coming from out of state must also provide a current eye examination record to the school.
*The School Registrar will request records from grade schools.
High School Placement Test
Schools around the country have adopted the High School Placement Test through Scholastic Testing Company. The High School of St. Thomas More piloted the testing two years with a small group of students, and we were pleased with the data we collected. However, because the testing group was small, we were not able to do much with the data. Last year, we strongly suggested all students take the test. For the Class of 2029, we are mandating the testing for incoming Freshmen.
Beginning with the incoming Class of 2028, students will be highly encouraged to take part in the High School Placement Test. Two dates have been set for during the 2023-2024 school year: Saturday, February 1, 2025 or Saturday, March 1, 2025. We will also have one make-up date in the summer on Saturday, June 21, 2025. All tests will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the STM Library and will last approximately 3 hours. The test shows the best reflection of learning when taken during the school year, so the earlier dates are the preferred days. Students who do not take the placement test will be placed in the entry-level classes for their Freshman year.
This test does not include the Spanish Placement Test, which will be taken at a later date, but there is a location on the Registration page to indicate your intention to take the Spanish Placement Test.
