Mrs. Erica Sherman

Hello, and welcome to The High School of Saint Thomas More enrollment page!

My name is Erica Sherman, and I am the Director of Enrollment.

It is my pleasure to assist prospective students and their families in the admissions application and overall enrollment process, which includes but is not limited to, navigating our online enrollment software and providing tours of campus.

Our school's enrollment process can be broken down into three steps as detailed below.

Our administration understands and appreciates the discernment that goes in to where your child will spend their high school years, so we are grateful for the opportunity to assist you in the decision making process.

I am with you every step of the enrollment process, and am eager to welcome you and your student to the Saber family! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached here by email or by calling 217-352-7210 extension 304.

I hope to receive your child's application and know that you are always in our prayers. Go Sabers!

Our 2023-2024 admissions application is live online and it is FREE to apply! Please note that if you submit your completed application, including all forms, before December 1, 2022, you will be eligible for a 5% discount on your child's tuition. If you submit a completed application by February 1, 2023, you will be eligible to receive a 2% discount.

Please also note that currently enrolled students do NOT need to reapply for enrollment next year and are ineligible for new student tuition discounts.

All prospective families are also encouraged to apply for the Empower Illinois Scholarship when its application opens in January.

Step 1: Complete the Admissions Application Process

Our admissions application is a three-step process, which can be completed all at once or saved and completed in steps. A step-by-step guide for completing the admissions application can be found here.

If the applicant should be extended an offer of admission, an acceptance letter and welcome information will be sent by mail to the applicant's home address.

*Steps 2 and 3 of the enrollment process are only relevant if you receive and accept an offer of admission.*

Step 2: Course Registration

After receiving and accepting an offer of admission, the incoming student will need to select his or her preference of courses for the upcoming semester.

This is done electronically and the information on how to do so will be included in the student's welcome information that is mailed with their acceptance letter.

The Guidance Counselor will then review these choices and finalize the incoming student's class schedule. His or her class schedule will also then be viewable to both student and parent(s) in our enrollment software, PowerSchool.

Step 3: Incoming Student Information Packet

Lastly, to complete the enrollment process, all incoming families will need to provide up to date medical records for their child before the start of school.

Parents will receive an email over the summer detailing what specific information needs to be submitted.

Please note that all new students are required to submit a physical and immunization record and a dental form. Students coming from out of state must also provide a current eye examination record to the school. Seniors must meet the State of Illinois Immunization Requirements.
