PM Band will meet after school today, Tuesday, February 10 from 3:15 to 4:00 pm in the Music Room.  Questions, see Dr. Lee or Philip Lee. 

Ctrl-Z Robotics is a Robotics Club here in town that some of our students belong to.  They are hosting a book drive for children of all ages at Cunningham Children’s Home.  The book drive goes until February 10.   Cunningham Children’s Home provides residential services to youth with unsuccessful foster home placement, special education programs, and community service programs that support struggling youth and families.  Please consider donating books to this drive.  There are collection boxes at the entrances of the school.  Please see Muskaan Garg with questions.

Wednesday, February 11, is $5 Wear Your Heritage Dress Down Day. Appropriate attire celebrating your heritage or a jersey from the country of your heritage may be worn, as this is a celebration of the cultures represented at our school.  The $5 payment is cash only.  Refer to the handbook for Dress Down Day expectations. 

As part of the International Week celebrations next week, we will have the 2nd Annual International Talent Show during Lunch on Friday, February 13.  Play a song, do a dance, recite a poem, show off your crazy juggling skills, do stand-up comedy, etc., etc.  The sky's the limit! Please see Mr. Mahoney to sign up by Wednesday, February 11.

Thursday, February 12, is the highly anticipated annual World Food Festival.  Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica invites you to take a “free trip around the world” as you sample foods from the Americas, Africa Asia, Oceania, and Europe/  Please sign up if you’re interested in bringing in a dish.  Sr. Bridget will send out a sign up and it will also be in the weekly newsletter. 

Friday, February 13, during Saber Block, Admissions Counselors from the Parkland Pathways Program will be in the library.  Both Parkland and the University of Illinois will have representatives here to discuss applications, eligibility and answer questions about the program.  All grades are encouraged to attend.  See Mrs. Donahoe for further information. 

High School of Saint Thomas More National Honor Society and ImpactLIfe will be hosting their annual Blood Drive on Monday, February 23 from 9:30 - 2:30 pm in the STM gym. There will be NHS members available with sign-up sheets and will be available during both lunch periods. Flyers will also be posted around the school for more information.
