PULSERA PROJECT is HERE at STM this week and the following week during the highly anticipated INTERNATIONAL WEEK. This international project offers handwoven bracelets (or pulseras in Spanish) and handbags from Nicaragua and Guatemala. Las pulseras are only $5 and bolsitas (handbags) $15. Cash, checks, FACTS and Venmo are all accepted. All proceeds go directly to Pulsera Project and will help educate, empower, and connect Central American artists with students in our school and more than 3600 other schools through the sale of colorful hand-woven bracelets, or “pulseras” in Spanish. Since 2012, STM Spanish Dept. has made more than $15,000 in proceeds for PULSERA PROJECT, which have been invested in a wide range of social impact programs in both Nicaragua and Guatemala.
