If you are interested in pursuing and promoting Spanish language and Hispanic cultures and serving the Hispanic community, are a sophomore or older, have a 3.67 GPA in all Spanish classes and a 3.2 GPA overall, then YOU are eligible to join La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH - Spanish Honors Society) There is a mandatory informational meeting on Tuesday, January 23nd at 3:00 pm or Wednesday, January 24rd at 7:30 am or 3:00 pm in room 103. You will receive the application packet and important information about being involved. In addition, in order to complete the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica application, you must attend one of the mandatory writing sessions. They will be held in room 103 on Monday, January 29th or Tuesday, January 30th at 7:20 a.m. or 3:15 p.m. You will hand write the small essay during one of these time slots. You will have access to dictionaries. If you do not attend one of the informational meetings and/or one of the writing sessions, you will not be eligible to apply.
Canstruction will be on Thursday, February 1st, so please bring in any cans or other nonperishable foods that you can. Collection will be from January 24th to January 31st. Please bring in any donations to House Leaders, and house leaders, please refer to previous posts in the House Google Classroom to deposit the cans. Canned and nonperishable food collected will be used by each family to build a structure for a family competition. Afterward, the food will be donated to the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul. Our goal is 10 cans per person.
