Knights of Columbus/Val Koble✝ Scholarship
The High School of Saint Thomas More has been blessed with a gift from the Knights of Columbus, Champaign Council #891, and Val Koble✝ to support Catholic students in need of tuition assistance who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend The High School of Saint Thomas More. Each year for the lifetime of the scholarship, the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Committee & The High School of Saint Thomas More will grant up to four (4) scholarships of at least $2,000 each to Catholic graduates of Holy Cross or St. Matthew schools. One (1) scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded to a Catholic student who graduated from any other school.
Selection of the recipient will be determined utilizing the FACTS tuition assistance application at The High School of Saint Thomas More and the student reflection. Recipients shall be eligible to receive the scholarship award provided he/she meets the stated criteria.
For students to be eligible they must fill out the FACTS application along with a 300-500 word reflection focusing on:
Their desire for a Catholic education at Saint Thomas More & the impact it will have on them in becoming the person God created them to be
How they live out the principles of the Knights of Columbus: Charity, Unity, & Fraternity
Goals for the future in how they hope to serve others in their vocation
