Do you want to know what it is like to be a Saber? Come and experience a day in the life of an STM Saber House Leader as you shadow a Saber for a school day. This unique opportunity allows you to meet current STM students, teachers, and staff, get a preview of some of the many classes that are offered, and most importantly, encounter Christ through prayer and the faith community at STM.
On the day your student shadows, we ask your student to arrive at the STM office at 7:50 AM so that we can introduce your student to their Saber House Leader before the school day begins. Your student will get a Saber Shadow Folder that includes the Saber House Leader’s school schedule and will participate in their Saber’s classroom activities throughout the day. They will enjoy a complimentary hot lunch from the school cafeteria! At 2:55 PM, your child and the Saber House Leader will return to the office to see how they day went. You are welcome to join. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions about STM and what your family’s next step would be.
Please note that the same STM Code of Conduct and classroom expectations will apply to your student during this shadow day. There is no cell phone or electronic device use allowed during the school day. Your student does not have to dress in the school uniform, but we do ask that they keep our dress code in consideration and dress appropriately.
Sign up below by filling out the “Shadow a Saber” Registration, and STM will be in touch with your family about setting up a date for your student to come and visit. Preference for shadows will be for current 8th grade students; 7th grade students will have the opportunity for shadowing in the spring months. Please note that due to the end of semester preparation, students may shadow until the end of November and then again in January until the end of April.
We look forward to your student’s visit and opportunity to experience what a day at STM is like. If you have any further questions please contact Mr. Ian Blomberg at email@example.com or by calling the school office at 217-352-7210.
