What is your educational background? What was the most rewarding part of attending that university? Any professional accomplishments?
I attended Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL. Home of the Battlin’ Beavers!! I was blessed to be able to play football for four years while attending. I originally went in as an Accounting/Business Major. Could you imagine that???.... The most rewarding part of attending Blackburn was the lifelong friendships that I made. Also learning to work together as part of a community. I graduated with a degree in Physical Education K-12. I also am certified in Special Education through EIU and University of Phoenix. I also have a masters in Education Administration from Eastern Illinois University.

What is your favorite thing about your career?
Being able to interact with so many great people. Making connections and having positive relationships with all of the students.
If you weren’t a teacher, what would you do?
I’d be bored out of my mind.
Who is someone who has had the greatest impact on you or what is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Coach Milller. He was one of my high school football coaches and PE/Health teacher. He was the type of guy that I feel I am today. He was always accepting of everybody no matter their ability. Sometimes in the world of coaching or teaching PE, you can see the teacher/coach sort of cater to the best athletes. He was the complete opposite. He made everybody feel welcome so effortlessly and was full of energy. I went from a shy kid to outgoing just by having him as a teacher/coach my freshmen year of high school.
What is one of your life goals?
Live life to the fullest!
What is your favorite vacation spot or where do you dream of vacationing?
I love Colorado but I’d probably have to go with Bewabic State Park in the upper peninsula of Michigan. I have had the great pleasure of camping there with my wife's family numerous times over the last 14 years. The weather is great, so is the lake, and it’s just another world. I love the Yooper vibe.
What is your favorite App?
ESPN Fantasy Football
Who are your “go to” or favorite Saints and why?
Patron Saint of soldiers and athletes
I started to connect with the Catholic faith when I was in college. My wife, girlfriend at that time, hooked me up with a prayer to Saint Sebastian. I used it before football games and even had the prayer tucked in my helmet during the games. He then became my confirmation Saint when I became Catholic.
