ACT College and Career Readiness Resources for students and their parents:
www.actstudent.org (for an ACT Student Web Account) you can set up an ACT Student Web Account to register for the ACT. Your account also allows you to make changes to your test option, test date, or test center; add, change, or delete college choices; receive e-mail updates from ACT about your registration; view your scores; and request additional score reports.
www.act.org/mobileapps/actstudent/ (for iPhone and iPod touch) ACTStudent will help you anticipate and mage the ACT test experience. Using the "Practice" feature, you can answer practice questions and gain feedback. Log in for limited, read-only access to your own registration and score information. Find straightforward answers to typical questions about events leading up to the test and the test day itself.
www.act.org/mobileapps/collegesearch/ (ACT College Search for iPhone and iPod touch) ACT College Search helps focus and narrow your prospects for postsecondary education. Searching by names and/or selecting preferences, you can narrow the number of institutions to investigate more thoroughly. You can view the profile, visit the Web page, and save your favorite U. S. two and four year postsecondary institutions.
www.act.org/aap/pdf/preparing.pdf (preparing for the ACT) this booklet includes descriptions of the skills measured by the ACT, test-taking strategies, general information about test day, and complete practice tests including a writing prompt. A sample answer document, scoring key, and scoring instructions are also included. All CCHS students have received this book from our guidance counselors earlier this year.
www.actstudent.org/qotd (ACT Question of the Day) a new ACT test practice question is posted each day for free.
www.actstudent.org/onlineprep/index.html (ACT Online Prep) offers practice tests with real ACT test questions, a diagnostic test and personalized Study Path, and comprehensive content review for each of the ACT's for multiple choice tests-English, mathematics, reading, and science. The program also includes practice essays with real-time scoring for the optional Writing Test. $19.95 is the cost for Online Prep.
