Students are reminded that Father Lampitt’s written approval is needed before service hour projects are begun if you would like them to count. You may obtain written approval by filling out a proposal form and submitting it to Father Lampitt or the main office. Proposals are available from Father Lampitt, online, and on the black racks outside the Library. Again, written approval must be obtained before the project begins.

Colleges and universities make visits to our school to reach out to our students. It is a great way to learn more about a specific college/university and also to begin building a relationship with the admissions representative. The admissions representative that visits our school will be the person who reads applications for our school. These visits are always FREE and open to any interested student. If a college/university visits during the lunch hour, they will be at a table immediately outside of our cafetorium. If they visit during the regular school day, students must sign-up to visit with the rep at least one day prior to the visit. Students are required to make up any work that they will miss according to teacher’s guidelines. Some of the colleges/univerisities us in the near future include: Drake University, Saint Louis University, Washington University, University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign and many others.
The Illinois College Exhibition (ICE Fair) will be in the Parkland College Gym on Wednesday, September 15th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There is no admission charge. Many colleges/univerisities will be represented. This is a great way to begin exploring colleges/universities. OPEN TO ALL AGE GROUPS.
Anyone wishing a meeting with Mr. Millage please call Mrs. Oliveira at 819-5707 to set up an appointment.
