The STM Annual Spring Gala has a new date and a whole new look! Yessiree! We are establishing a new tradition at STM with our Annual St. Paddy’s Party “Lucky You”. Plans are well underway and include an Irish Pub, great food, lots of music and dancing, a pot of gold, and more! STM may be one of the luckiest schools in the area as we have been blessed with parents and friends who have donated auction items for over a decade

- GR-R-REAT Saber Raffle: Students Dressing Down

Thank you to all the Parents supporting the GR-R-REAT Saber Raffle. A list of the students enjoying dress down days beginning Friday, April 29th (click here for the student list).
The following attire has been approved for students participating in The GR-R-REAT Saber Raffle dress down day:
Guys: Jeans day rules apply; i.e. no holes or extreme fraying; both collared and non-collared shirts are acceptable provided the clothing bears no inappropriate writing; shirts must be tucked in and belts must be worn; close-toed shoes only.
Gals: Jeans day rules apply; i.e. no holes or extreme fraying; both collared and non-collared blouses/shirts/sweaters are acceptable provided the clothing bears no inappropriate writing and has a modest neckline; blouse/shirt/sweater may be worn untucked if the style so dictates; all other blouses/shirts/sweaters must be tucked in and belts must be worn; closed-toed shoes only.
Any student not in compliance with this policy will be sent home.

- Congratulations Emily Coles: 2011 Young Alumni of the Year

STM Alumni have moved on to do great things and some have impacted our community in a positive way, exemplifying the very mission upon which this school was founded. On behalf of the STM Alumni Association Board, I am honored to recognize an outstanding graduate tonight who has done just that. After graduating from STM in 2006, she spent a year in Paris learning French. Now in her final semester at Wesleyan University majoring in International Studies and French with a GPA of 3.86 and named to the Dean’s List seven consecutive semesters, she is faced with the decision to attend the London School of Economics to work on her Master’s in Human Rights; or, head to Sofia Bulgaria on a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship.

Anthony Santarelli Receives STM Young Alumni of the Year Award at the “Lives of Legacy” Ten Year Anniversary Celebration The 2010 Annual Spring Gala “Lives of Legacy” A Ten Year Journey returned home to Saint Thomas More – a most fitting venue for this anniversary celebration on Saturday, April 17th. STM Founding Fathers, Pioneers, alumni and alumni parents from the Classes of 2003-2005 were honored with a private reception. Guests watched as a very special evening unfolded with a musical review by STM students and alumni, and a moving and inspirational video tribute to the STM Pioneers and 2009 Paideia Award Winner John May. Sean McDonald, President of the newly established STM Alumni Association, recognized 2006 graduate Anthony Santarelli as the recipient of the first Young Alumni of the Year Award recognizing his positive impact to the Champaign-Urbana community through Illinois Green Business Association

- Memorable Celebration Night: 2010 STM Spring Gala “Lives of Legacy”

We’ve turned 10 years old and only just begun, and the 2010 STM Spring Gala “Lives of Legacy” Ten Year Anniversary Celebration will be a night remembered by all who watched this memorable night unfold. The evening began with a private reception for the STM Founding Fathers, alumni and alumni parents who started it all – the Classes of 2003-2005. Lots of excitement filled the cafetorium as guests raised their bids on the silent auction items and took chances on winning one of the GREAT raffle items – the scooter being the favorite!
