- All-Area All Star High School Basketball Games

Jade Brinkoetter, Erica Wallen and Kevin Carrol will be playing in the second annual Parkland College Cobras and News Gazette All-Area All Star high school basketball games on Sunday, April 14 at Parkland College Gym. Doors open at 12:30pm, Girls game at 1:00pm, Boys game at 3:00pm, $5 for Adults, $3 for Students and Seniors. Players representing 27 different area schools were all part of the News-Gazette’s 2013 roster of All-Area All-Stars. The girls team will be coached by STM Girls Basketball Coach Chris Mennig.

- Spring Sports Pictures

Spring sports pictures will be taken on Friday, March 8, beginning at 3:15pm. The team pictures are for the ABO Sports Program and also for the STM Yearbook. Picture order forms will be distributed by the head coaches. Pictures will be taken in the gym. 3:15pm Boys Tennis, 3:30pm Softball, 3:45pm Baseball, 4:00pm Girls Track, 4:15pm Boys Track, and 4:30pm Girls Soccer.

All STM boys interested in trying out for the 2013 Baseball team, please meet on the baseball field at 3:30pm on Monday, February 25th. If weather does not permit, it will be in the school announcements and tryouts will be in the gym from 5:30pm to 7:00p

Ticket sales for Monday’s Super Sectional game will go on sale TODAY, Friday, after school in the cafetorium and on Monday from 10a to 1:00p. Cost of a ticket is $8. Also, a fan bus will be going to the game and cost to ride is $7 - sign up in the cafe after school today. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate at UIS in Springfield. Address of UIS. 6:30pm: Boys Soccer scrimmage (soccer field), Girls Volleyball scrimmage (gym)
7:15pm: Varsity Football mini-scrimmage (Football Field; in case of rain, practice field)
