STM Cheerleaders performing in the 2012 Capital One Bowl, Orlando

Memphis, TN - (Dec. 22) Local cheerleaders from The High School of Saint Thomas More in Champaign will be performing in the 2012 Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida.  The cheerleaders earned this distinction and qualified to perform at the Capitol One pre-game show based on First Place finishes during Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), summer camps.

Squad members will travel as a team to Orlando for a week of rehearsals dedicated to preparing them for their Capital One Bowl pre-game performance. The hours of rehearsals will be well worth the effort when they perform in front of tens of thousands of fans at this major college football event, televised on ABC. While in town, they will also have the chance to visit Central Florida’s famed theme parks.

The STM cheer squad, led by captains Taylor Ehler and Zoe Kaler, has worked for several months to raise funds for the trip. Their current effort is a 2012 calendar featuring the squad performing stunts, jumps and cheers (see attached sample pages).
