Memorable Celebration Night: 2010 STM Spring Gala “Lives of Legacy”

We’ve turned 10 years old and only just begun, and the 2010 STM Spring Gala “Lives of Legacy” Ten Year Anniversary Celebration will be a night remembered by all who watched this memorable night unfold. The evening began with a private reception for the STM Founding Fathers, alumni and alumni parents who started it all – the Classes of 2003-2005. Lots of excitement filled the cafetorium as guests raised their bids on the silent auction items and took chances on winning one of the GREAT raffle items – the scooter being the favorite! Our talented students, under the direction of Nick Stefanic and Amy Stoch, performed a clever musical review and received a standing ovation for their Broadway-like performance. STM generosity was evident throughout the live auction with students Reid Stephenson, Daniel Ruedi, and Conner Buenting raising over $5,850 for the school via their live auction donations – “Dinner With Reid–New Orleans Style”, “Catch of the Day” fishing trip with two time National Guard Junior World Championship Qualifier Daniel Ruedi, and the “Block Party” performance by Shark Bandit. With 24 alumni in attendance, the STM Alumni Association raised the bar honoring the school’s legacy with a special video tribute to 2009 Paideia Award Winner John May and the STM Pioneers. Recognition was also given to Mrs. Sofronis, Coach Hennessey and Coach Schroeder, who entered our doors the year the school opened in 2000. Alumni Association President Sean McDonald presented the first Young Alumni of the Year Award to 2006 graduate Anthony Santarelli. A hearty CONGRATULATIONS to the STM faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents, alumni parents, and incoming parents who so generously donated their time and treasure–whether as a guest, sponsor, underwriter, auction package donor, or volunteer–to “Lives of Legacy.” Preliminary numbers show over $100,000, and we are grateful for this support which enables us to continue this legacy.
