Thursday will be a Saber Shirt Day, regular school attire with a Saber Shirt.  We will be on Bell Schedule #2 for a Pep Assembly at 2:30pm.

Hello There NHS Members! This Thursday at 7:30am in the library, we have a meeting.  Please be there because we’ll be discussing our service projects in the group.  St. Peter Claver and Luke’s League/cancer research will be in Mrs. Yohnka’s room while the Buerkett 5K will be in the library. 

Want to play in the pep rally games? Sign up in the office by the end of lunch on Thursday.  Winner will get a prize!

Scholastic Bowl Meets Thursday after school at 3:45pm in room 204 to set up for our home tournament.  Tournament begins between 4:15 and 4:30. 

Battle of the Band participants, there is a MANDATORY rehearsal, Thursday, February 9th at 6:00pm

February 10
Empty Bowl is quickly approaching.  If you would like to perform at the Empty Bowl Supper, please sign up outside the art studio, the music room, or the main office.  We would enjoy any type of performance from signing and dancing to poetry reading.  Remember to sign up before February 10th. 

Math Team Members: Order forms for the Math Team t-shirt may be picked up from a Math Teacher.  Please turn your order form and $12 into Mr. Steers or Mrs. Yohnka by February 10th.  There will be no late orders.

It is here!  Battle of the Bands is this Friday, February 10th.  Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.  The show starts at 7:00pm with the doors open at 6:30pm.  Come support the bands of STM Students. 

Wednesday, February 15
Any students who are interested in earning service hours can sigh up to work at the Empty Bowl Supper on Friday, February 17th.  See Mrs. Pagel in the Art Room before Wednesday, February 15th.

February 16 and 17
Adult volunteers are needed to help staff concession stands at the Assembly Hall the afternoon of Thursday, February 16 and during the day Friday, February 17.  Volunteer earnings can be allocated towards a students tuition, a sport, prom, a class, an STM sponsored trip, etc.  Please contact Mrs. Oliveira at doliveira@hs-stm.org or by calling 352-7210 if you are available or if there are questions.

Global Fest: Any student interested in attending GlobalFest 2012, Saturday, March 10th at Normal West Community High School, should see Sra. Stewart in Room 103.  Sra. Stewart and Srta. Race and a group of STM students will take a bus to GlobalFest where they will celebrate cultures and languages of the world, as well as lead activities and meet students from all over the state of Illinois and our world.  Don’t miss out on this great trip.  Hispanic culture points are available.  Cost is $25 which covers the all day registration and a great authentic Mexican dinner in Bloomington.

Academic Labs for Student Assistance We are excited to announce each department will provide academic labs for student assistance opportunities. These labs allow students to meet with a faculty member in an academic area. Click here for information and scheduling.

ALL STUDENTS: The parking spot that is marked by a sign that says “Reserved - STM Gala Honoree” is 24-7.  No one is allowed to park in that spot at ANY TIME!
