Sky Clears for Tenth Annual Golf Outing!

The clouds finally rolled out of Champaign just in time for the Annual Golf Outing at Lincolnshire Fields Country Club! Our 104 golfers enjoyed lunch by Town & Country Catering, and Maria Tucker's brownies were a big hit! We were thrilled to welcome back STM Alumni Josh Creek ('03), Austin Creek ('06), and Hailey Weber ('05) as well as four members of the Inaugural Golf Outing Committee: John Bartko, Marianne Harrington, Lee McDonald, and Dan Weber. Guests were delighted to find the return of the refreshment hole sponsored by Michelle's Bridal and Barb Gallivan/Keller Williams. During the evening reception special guest Msgr. Albert Hallin recognized all members of the Inaugural Golf Outing Committee: John Bartko, Karl Grentz, Marianne Harrington, Ed Kral, John May, Lee McDonald and Dan Weber. The STM Inaugural Golf Outing was held September 18, 2000 and raised $11,858 for the Saber Athletic Program. On behalf of the student athletes, coaches, and Saber fans, Msgr. Hallin recognized the following businesses who have supported this outing each year since 2000: Busey Bank; Champaign Telephone Company; Country Companies/John May; Fox River Foods; Kessler's; Kitchen, Bath & Cabinet Company: Martin, Hood & Friese; Orange & Blue Distributing; Provena Covenant Medical Center; Triple "T" Car Wash; and Pepsi. Preliminary numbers forecast the outing to be a great success for the student athletic program.
