Santhanam and Modglin are champions!

Nathan Santhanam continued his assault on any wrestler in the state while Tanner Modglin may have began his. Both wrestlers won their weight classes at the Seneca Invitational on Saturday. Santhanam defended his title from last year at 112 and dominated the field. He received the award for fastest pin after pinning his first opponent in nine seconds. Nathan followed his quick first round with first period pins in the semifinals and the finals. Tanner also pinned all three of his opponents at 119, but in a much different style. Tanner was actually trailing in the finals until he hit a devastating throw that ended the match with a roar from the crowd. This was Tanner???s first high school tournament while this was Nathan???s ninth tournament title!

Matt Semple wrestled in one of the hardest weight classes on the day and drew into the eventual 1st and 3rd place finishers. He wrestled extremely tough and continues to help lead the team on the mat. Richard Sumitro, Bill Holt, Sean Hartin, Nick Bammert and Mic Palazzolo all wrestled in the tough 14 team tournament. The team hosts two JV meets this week on Wednesday and Saturday, come cheer on your wrestlers.
