Varsity at Shiloh (Hume)

Jordan Wellinghoff cruised through the first four innings in STM’s game vs. East Central at Shiloh High School Monday night...and then everything fell apart for the Sabers.  East Central scored 13 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to beat STM 13-3.  Wellinghoff had allowed just three hits while striking out 8 through the fourth but was undone by a combination of six errors, a hit batsman, a walk and base hits by East Central.  The six errors STM committed in the 5th inning were more errors than the Sabers had made in their past nine games combined.  Zach Johnson, Tyler Sullivan and Jason Herzog had two hits each and Johnson drove in two of the Sabers three runs.  STM, now 23-5, plays at St. Joseph-Ogden Tuesday night.
