Tuition & Fees (2007-2008)

The High School of Saint Thomas More is committed to providing a superior education at an affordable price. The Pastors' Board establishes an annual tuition, which represents only a portion of the cost of educating each student. Tuition for the 2007-2008 school year is $4,976 for students of a Champaign Vicariate parish and $6,588 for all other families. A sibling discount of 3% is offered. A comprehensive fee is charged to each student to cover costs including textbooks, locker and lock rental, classroom supplies, retreat fee, academic testing, and yearbook (2007-2008 Comprehensive Fees: Freshmen - $325, Sophomores/Juniors - $335, Seniors - $460). Additional Expenses

In addition to tuition and the comprehensive fee, students and families are responsible for items such as their school tie ($10), PE uniform ($12/shirt and $12/shorts), lunch ($3.00 to $4 per day if purchased at STM), and other miscellaneous/extracurricular activities. The High School of Saint Thomas More respects the significant financial investment that families make in sending a student. Every effort is made to keep expenses at a minimum.

Payment Options

Families have two options for paying the annual tuition. The preferred manner of payment must be declared and established each year in the spring for the upcoming academic year.

The following options for payment are available:

  1. Full Payment. Under this plan the entire amount of tuition is paid on or before July 1st. Full payment by this date earns a 2.5% discount off the tuition. The payment is made directly to The High School of Saint Thomas More business office.
  2. Monthly Payments. Under this plan the entire amount of tuition is paid monthly beginning in July through the FACTS tuition Management Plan. Between two and eleven months may be chosen to set this plan up. Families authorize the FACTS company to withdrawn the monthly tuition amount from their checking or savings account on either the 5th or 20th of each month. A small service fee is charged by FACTS for this service.

The comprehensive fee must be paid in full at the time of August registration and is not eligible for monthly payments.
