The High School of Saint Thomas More

From all of us at the High School of St. Thomas More - welcome and may the peace of Christ be with you! At St. Thomas More we strive to live out and provide a true Catholic Education, which is rooted in its foundation on Jesus Christ as Pope Benedict XVI says that “first and foremost every Catholic educational institution is a place to encounter the living God, who in Jesus Christ reveals his transforming love and truth (cf. Spe Salvi, 4).”  This foundation will be our strength for “everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.” (Mt 7:25-26).

In guiding our vision of a Catholic School rooted in Christ, it is our mission to “assist parents in forming students spiritually, morally, intellectually and physically” so that they can become the Saint God created them to be. This mission drives everything that we do at St. Thomas More from the classroom to the athletic fields of competition to the musical and drama performances and most importantly in our Faith. A Catholic School is truly an extension of the Church, which is the mystical Body of Christ. At St. Thomas More, we are a “body,” a family of believers working together to accomplish this great mission that we have been tasked with as leaders of young men and women of Christ.

During a student's four years as a Saber they will experience new friends, committed and dedicated teachers who work tirelessly to integrating the beauty and wisdom of the Catholic Faith in all subjects, challenging classes, motivating coaches, and most importantly Christ through prayer, the Mass, Sacraments, etc.  Our focus is always on helping our students to become the best version of themselves by keeping our focus on a Supernatural Vision of God, building Virtue and Character, creating and building a challenging Catholic Curriculum, modeling and living a Spirit of Community & Communion, and being a witness to the Gospel for all who come to St. Thomas More.

As a Saber makes their journey through STM they will be ready and prepared to face the next step in life and to go out and proclaim the Gospel to the world. They will be given many opportunities to develop their many talents and abilities given to them by God to glorify Him in everything they do. We thank all those who have been a part of the Mission of St. Thomas More and prayerfully ask anyone considering continuing their Catholic Education to join us at St. Thomas More. It will be a decision that will set you on the “long and narrow” road to life!

We would be honored to have you as a Saber for a visit anytime as a prospective student, alumni or benefactor to see what you can become and what you have made possible at the High School of St. Thomas More.
